McCall, the state command sergeant major of the South Carolina National Guard, attend a Month of the Military Child proclamation at the South Carolina State House on March 31, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina. During the event, South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster designated April as the Month of the Military Child in South Carolina and recognized the role Purple Star Schools play in supporting military youth across the state.
