Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR) hosted the winners of the "Big Ideas Challenge." This year, the challenge streamlined its focus into three core categories: IW Readiness, Advancing Warfighting Capabilities, and IW Alignment and Integration. Each proposal was rigorously evaluated by a panel of subject matter experts, civilian senior leadership, and senior enlisted leaders. The winner of the Advancing Warfighting Capabilities category, pictured from the left: VADM Mike Vernazza, Commander Naval Information Forces, Mr. Christopher Suda, Mr. Nicholas Wagner, Mr. Christopher Dobry, and FORCM Augustine Cooper. NAVIFOR is the Navy’s Information Warfare (IW) Type Command (TYCOM) responsible for generating agile and technically superior manned, trained, equipped, and certified combat-ready IW forces to ensure our Navy will decisively deter, compete, and win. IW underpins the entire spectrum of conflict, enables all warfighting missions, presents an asymmetrical advantage, and boasts many of our most forward-thinking and creative Naval professionals.
