    Department of War Southern Border   

    U.S. Army Soldiers with the 3rd Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), land their CH-47 Chinook during the delivery of the Skydio X10 to the 130th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade in San Antonio, Texas, March 28, 2026. Soldiers assigned to JTF-SB use the unmanned aircraft system to detect illegal aliens attempting to cross the U.S Southern Border. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
