U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Lucas Williams, 2nd Joint Communications Squadron, Joint Communications Support Element, tests Hawkeye IV X-band Military Satellite Communications at Hat Yao Beach in Rayong province, Thailand, Feb. 25, 2026, in support of the Exercise Cobra Gold 2026 Combined Joint Forces Maritime Component. JCSE provides rapidly deployable communications support to joint and coalition forces, enabling Combined Joint All Domain Operations throughout the exercise. U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s J7 Pacific Multi-Domain Training and Experimentation Capability coordinated JCSE’s participation in Exercise Cobra Gold 2026 to enhance joint force and coalition interoperability, allowing U.S. and allied forces to train together as a cohesive, multi-domain force. Cobra Gold is the Indo-Pacific’s largest annual military exercise in mainland Asia, co-hosted by the U.S. and Thailand. The exercise brings together participants from multiple nations for military training and humanitarian projects that strengthen regional partnerships and demonstrate U.S. commitment to Indo-Pacific security.
