Tommy Roberts, second from left, is presented the Gold Star Mission scholarship in memory of Illinois Army National Guard Spc. Charles Lamb, of Casey, Illinois, during the 9th annual Gold Star Mission scholarship banquet in Springfield March 21. Lamb, who died Sept. 5, 2004, of wounds sustained during a mortar attack in Baghdad, Iraq, was assigned to the 1544th Transportation Company, based in Paris, Illinois.
