IMCOM Sustainment Director Mr. Jay Condrey presents a coin to Staff Sgt. Jared Turnipseed. Turnipseed took charge as the NCOIC of the Fort Meade Military Funeral Honors Mission and restructured the training program, tracking and reporting mechanisms and created standard operating procedures. Manned using 100% borrowed military manpower, Turnipseed trains a new cohort every 120 days to perform military funeral honors for a five-state region, managing the third-highest number of honors provided by any installation in the entire Army.
