A Federal Agency K 9 team participates in a scenario based TSA‑led multi‑agency K‑9 training event at Fort Hamilton on March 11, 2026. Transportation Security Administration canine training instructors from John F. Kennedy International Airport brought together more than 65 handlers and their K‑9s from 13 agencies across New York and New Jersey for detection and response scenarios across the installation. The event strengthened interagency coordination and enhanced regional K‑9 readiness, underscoring Fort Hamilton’s role as the Army’s only active‑duty installation in New York City and a trusted partner in generating readiness for federal, state, and local agencies.
