U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 25th Infantry Division bow their heads as the chaplain gives a prayer, as part of the Expert Soldier Badge, Expert Field Medical Badge, and Expert Infantryman Badge, or E3B closing ceremony held at the Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, March 19, 2026. The ceremony concluded a month of daily training and testing on a multitude of Soldier skills. The purpose of the Expert Infantryman, Soldier, and Field Medical Badges, commonly referred to as E3B, is to create experts at all levels, across all organizations, increasing the readiness and lethality of teams, squads, and platoons.
