The briefing coincided with a visit from Maj. Gen. Paul D. Rogers, the Adjutant General and Director of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, as part of a state-wide armory modernization tour during his final year serving as the state’s TAG. Michigan is the only state to undergo a modernization of its readiness centers, with all 33 set to be finished by November of this year. The Grand Ledge Armory was the first armory completed under the new program, undergoing a $3.962 million renovation, which was completed in August of 2022.
