Sgt. Cesar Lopez, a network administrator with 7th Marine regiment, 1st Marine Division assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), has a filter removed during their Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (CBRN) training at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., March 09, 2026. The purpose of the training is to instill confidence in their CBRN equipment that will protect them against an actual chemical attack in a combat environment. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
