    NORFOLK, Va. — A group of Hospital Corpsmen assigned to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth receive a tour on board Military Sealift Command’s (MSC) Henry J. Kaiser-class fleet replenishment oiler USNS John Lenthall (TAO 189), March 11, 2026, as they familiarize themselves with various classes of ship before supporting the USNS Comfort’s upcoming Comfort Exercise (COMFEX) later this year. COMFEX is an advanced-phase training exercise designed to prepare and test the capabilities of Comfort’s medical professionals and Civilian Mariners ensuring readiness to rapidly respond to emergent crises around the globe. MSC directs and supports operations for approximately 140 civilian-crewed ships that replenish Navy ships at sea, conduct specialized missions, preposition combat cargo at sea around the world, perform a variety of support services, and move military equipment and supplies to deployed forces.
