US, Kenya artillery crews certify on Table VI during Justified Accord 2026

U.S. Army 1st Lt. Caesar Nuzzolo, fire direction center chief, and Staff Sgt. Kyle DeCoste, a fire control specialist, both assigned to the 1st Battalion, 101st Field Artillery Regiment, Massachusetts Army National Guard, calculate firing solutions, such as range, deflection, and elevation, to ensure accurate, rapid fire support based on target data from forward observers during Justified Accord 2026 live-fire Table VI certification between U.S. and Kenya Defence Forces at Bearing Point Five, Laresoro, Kenya, March 4, 2026. Table VI certification validated artillery crews’ ability to safely and accurately execute fire missions under live-fire conditions, ensuring technical proficiency and readiness before advancing to more complex combined arms operations.

JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Union missions, and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya, and Tanzania, JA26 is U.S. Africa Command’s largest exercise in East Africa.
