A Gold Star family member participates in the 11th annual Run for the Fallen at Fort Bliss, Texas, Feb. 28, 2026. Gold Star family members wore blue shirts to denote their participation in the memorial event. Hosted collaboratively by Fort Bliss MWR Sports and Survivor Outreach Services, a division of Bliss Army Community Service, the 5K run and 1-mile walk honored more than 200 fallen service members from Bliss and the local area.
