Task Force Minuteman medical teams practice forward deployed casualty evacuations during Justified Accord 2026

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Anthony Gershman, a medic with the 307th Forward Resuscitation Surgery Detachment, U.S. Army Reserves, holds a saline bag during a training surgery performed on a simulated casualty while participating in combined infantry training during Justified Accord 2026, at the Kenya School of Infantry, Isiolo, Kenya, March 3, 2026. The training highlighted the rapid-response capabilities of FRSD teams, which frequently deploy to support operations with partner nations. During JA26, personnel from the 307th FRSD demonstrated their advanced medical capabilities and shared expertise with KDF medical staff to strengthen interoperability and medical readiness.

JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Union missions, and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya and Tanzania, JA26 is U.S. Africa Command’s largest exercise in East Africa.
