U.S. Army Spc. U.S. Soldiers zeroed their weapons by firing multiple shot groups at a target to identify the difference between where their sight is aimed and where the weapon’s rounds impact, allowing them to adjust their sights for accuracy. Training together enabled U.S. Soldiers and KDF to share tactics and build interoperability, strengthening their ability to operate together during humanitarian assistance, crisis response, and regional security missions.
JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Union missions and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya and Tanzania, this year's exercise incorporates personnel from approximately 15 nations.
