A Green Beret with 3rd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) jumps out of a CH-47 Chinook helicopter assigned to 1-52 General Support Aviation Battalion “Sugar Bears”, 11th Airborne Division during a military free fall (MFF) jump at Firebird drop zone near Fairbanks, Alaska on Feb. 05, 2026. The MFF allowed the team a chance to refine jump tactics, techniques and procedures before the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center 26 rotation, strengthening Arctic mobility, survivability and combat effectiveness in extreme cold weather conditions.
