Three Evans Army Community Hospital Soldiers successfully completed the rigorous Special Operations Forces Arctic Medic course Jan. 10-27, 2026, at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Participants stayed in tents in the extreme cold weather of Alaska with temperatures plunging below -30 degrees, but had the opportunity to experience the aurora borealis, or northern lights.
