The newest member of 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) (left) accepts a memorial flag from the oldest member, U.S. Army Col. Shane R. Jones, the deputy commanding officer of 3rd SFG(A) (right) following a memorial physical training event on Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Jan. 30, 2026. The flag, which contains 60 dog tags honoring the group's fallen, is passed to the newest soldier in the formation as part of a monthly tradition that recognizes the sacrifices and culture of 3rd SFG(A).
