Joseph Seifert, a native of Minnesota and the command chaplain with 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, teaches Marines about spiritual health during back in the saddle training (BITS) at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 21, 2026. BITS is an annual event that refreshes Marines on essential topics such as Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, Suicide Prevention and Awareness, Operational Security, Substance Abuse, Crime Prevention, the Junior Enlisted Performance Evaluation System and the Exceptional Family Member Program.
