Rusting and corroded galvanized steel hydraulic pipelines used to open and close Miter gates on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System were installed in the late 60’s or early 70’s. These pipes are in a very damp environment pumping hydraulic fluids to the gates many times a day, seven days a week.
