A general view of skidding logs up to the landing using an off-road skyline yarder at the Pee Wee Stewardship Sale, near Emerald Creek in the St. Joe Ranger District. This sale used a unique “double skid” harvest system due to the size and location of the sale, and limited road access. Logs were skidded up to a landing, unhooked and then rehooked on another choker, then skidded a second time up to the road. (Forest Service photo by April Rainey)
