(Jan. 28, 2026) An instructor, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 2, monitors candidates assigned to Aviation Rescue Swimmer School from a MH-60S Seahawk, attached to HSC 2, during a hoist and litter training evolution onboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla., Jan. 28. Aviation Rescue Swimmer School is a physically and mentally demanding course in which candidates learn water survival skills, practice rescue and disentanglement procedures, and complete several in-water tests that evaluate their abilities to swim and remain calm under pressure.
