(Jan. 28, 2026) Candidates assigned to Aviation Rescue Swimmer School complete a safety brief with instructors, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 2, prior to conducting hoist and litter training onboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla., Jan. 28. Aviation Rescue Swimmer School is a physically and mentally demanding course in which candidates learn water survival skills, practice rescue and disentanglement procedures, and complete several in-water tests that evaluate their abilities to swim and remain calm under pressure.
