NORFOLK, Va. (Jan. 9, 2026) – Rear Adm. John A. Robinson, Navy Chief of Information, left, and Cmdr. Jason S. Fischer, commanding officer of Fleet Public Affairs Center (FLTPACEN) Norfolk, salute the ensign during the national anthem during an establishment ceremony at Naval Station Norfolk, Jan. 9, 2026. The establishment ceremony coincided with the inauguration of Navy Public Affairs Command, formerly Navy Public Affairs Support Element, and is part of a Navy-wide public affairs transformation designed to better align communication efforts with the fleet and to create a more agile and efficient communication force.
