(Jan. 29, 2025) – The Honorable Derrick Anderson, Assistant Secretary of War for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict, attends the capping ceremony onboard Recruit Training Command (RTC) in Great Lakes, Jan. 29, 2026. The capping ceremony marks recruits becoming Sailors at the end of RTC’s crucible event, Battle Stations. raining is approximately nine weeks and all enlistees in the U.S. Navy begin their career at the command.
