Sailors assigned to USS JASON DUNHAM (DDG 109) visited the high school of Corporal Jason L. Dunham, the Medal of Honor recipient for whom the ship is named. During the visit, crew members engaged with students and local community members, answering questions and reflecting on the significance of serving aboard a ship bearing Corporal Dunham’s name. The namesake outreach honored Corporal Dunham’s legacy of selfless service and sacrifice while strengthening ties between the ship and the local community. The visit reinforced the ship’s heritage and the Navy’s enduring commitment to honoring our Nation’s heroes.
