A Skydio X2D small unmanned aircraft system operated by U.S. Marines with Alpha Company, 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, performs reconnaissance during a gunnery qualification range on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Jan. 23, 2026. The collective gunnery range training was held to maintain mission readiness and for Marines with 2nd AA Battalion to apply their knowledge of vehicle familiarization and weapon sustainment into simulated real-world events.
