U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 56th Fighter Wing observe a hoist operation during a simulated deployment for 56th FW honorary commanders, Jan. 22, 2026, at Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field, Arizona. The joint medical demonstration illustrated the high-pressure training required to ensure personnel are prepared for the rigors of a deployed environment. Exposure to these complex maneuvers provided civic partners with insight to the technical skills airmen need to support the professional development and specialized resource requirements of the 56th FW mission.
