Competitors gather at the starting line outside the Soto Physical Fitness Center for the Iron Soldier Half Marathon at Fort Bliss, Texas, Jan. 24, 2026. Despite the rainy conditions and cool temperatures, a large turnout of Soldiers, family members, and civilians from the El Paso community braved the elements to tackle the 13.1-mile course.
