NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (Jan. 23, 2026) - Capt. Andrew Bucher, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Jack H. Lucas (DDG 125), explains the purpose of the bridge to members of San Diego Military Advisory Council (SDMAC) during a tour of the Jack H. Lucas Jan. 23. The tour provided SDMAC leadership with a firsthand look at naval surface operations and to discuss the strategic importance of the fleet’s presence in San Diego.
