NAVAL AIR STATION SIGONELLA, Italy (Jan. 14, 2025) – Evan Jones, a water infrastructure program manager from Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Europe, Africa, Central (EURAFCENT), photographs a return line for the clean-in-place system during a Region Water Quality Board assessment at the Naval Air Station Sigonella I water treatment plant. The system is used to regenerate the reverse osmosis membranes that provide primary water treatment. The assessment was conducted to evaluate installation compliance with the Navy Overseas Drinking Water Program. NAVFAC EURAFCENT supports fleet commanders by providing engineering assessments and agile acquisition strategy, constructing and maintaining shore infrastructure, and maximizing force readiness to enhance warfighter capability.
