Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, flies a group of Dji Mavic 3 Classic drones during the Combined Arms Training Center's (CATC) Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) Master Trainer Course at the Balli Airfield in Vilseck, Germany, Jan. 23, 2026. This intensive, multi-week course requires specific prerequisites, including being a current operator, meeting fitness/medical standards, and serving in a unit with authorized sUAS. As both a TRADOC and NATO Quality Assurance accredited institution, CATC offers almost 60 courses ranging from classroom instruction on transporting HAZMAT on European public roads to combat life-saving skills in a simulated combat environment.
