A Japan Self-Defense Force cadet provides combat casualty care, under the instruction of U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Thaddeus Hyatt, with the 12th Littoral Combat Team, 12th Marine Littoral Regiment, during the culminating event of the Tactical Combat Casualty Care course at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 16, 2026. III Marine Expeditionary Force Expeditionary Operations Training Group’s TCCC culminating event provided the JSDF cadets with trauma medicine scenarios, which will enable them to conduct combat casualty care while under intense physical and mental pressure.
