Emerald Alaska Inc. response personnel place plastic sheeting onto the deck of the BBC Arizona while building temporary containment for the ship's leaking containers June 7, 2013, in Valdez, AK. Multiple containers, each holding a plastic bladder filled with transformer oil, began leaking during the ship’s transit to Valdez. A Unified Command, consisting of the Coast Guard, Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, City of Valdez and Gallagher Marine Systems, LLC, plan to shift the containers to a different location on deck prior to removal of the remaining domestic cargo stored below.
