Shenango River Lake rangers supported an annual community event aimed at highlighting the nation’s national bird, as well as provided visitors an opportunity to enjoy nature with family, friends and other wildlife enthusiast. During the Jan. 10, 2026, event, attendees learned about and observed bald eagles in their natural habitats around the lake. More than 800 people attended the event and spotted nine bald eagles.
