Members of the 167th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, 130th Airlift Wing, West Virginia National Guard, conducted Tactical Combat Casualty Care Tier 3 training from January 11–18, 2026, reinforcing medical readiness and deployment capability. The course included 24 didactic modules, 93 hands on medical intervention skills, a final written exam, and a Tactical Trauma Assessment conducted at the 130th Airlift Wing, Building 107. Training culminated with a full scale field exercise at Camp Virgil-Tate, where Airmen operated in a simulated contingency environment and mass casualty scenario. Participants applied critical care skills to treat simulated casualties, establish and manage a Casualty Collection Point, request MEDEVAC using 9 Line and MIST reports, and transport patients to designated evacuation staging areas. This training ensures medical personnel remain certified and ready to deploy within 72 hours to support lifesaving operations.
