Coast Guard Art Program artist Ken Smith, of Pulaski, Va., won the George Gray Award for his art piece “Steady as she goes," during a ceremony held at the Salmagundi Club in New York City, June 6, 2013. Named for the founder of COGAP, the award is presented to a Coast Guard artist for their artistic achievement in capturing an aspect of the Coast Guard.
