Chief Master Sgt. Daryl J. Herty, state command chief of the Louisiana Air National Guard, shows appreciation to those who have guided him along the way and thanks his wife and family for supporting him during his career at a retirement ceremony at the Jackson Barracks Multi-Use Center in New Orleans, Jan. 10. As the LA ANG senior enlisted leader, Herty advised the adjutant general on the supervision and management of Airmen, notably while undergoing an aircraft conversion, responding to numerous state activations and deploying to multiple combatant commands.
