MONCURE, N.C. — Anthony Watts, a marine machinery mechanic with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wilmington District, installs a temporary ladder system at the outlet conduit of B. Everett Jordan Dam in January 2025. The access system allows engineers to safely enter the conduit to conduct a comprehensive structural inspection of the dam’s primary outlet works.
