(Jan. 12, 2026) In recognition of his exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and unwavering commitment to mission excellence, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Mid-Atlantic (NAVFAC MIDLANT) announced Lt. Cmdr. Benjamin Male, P.E., CEC, Public Works Officer for Naval Weapons Station (NWS) Earle Public Works Department, as its 2026 Military Engineer of the Year awardee. Male was also announced as the NAVFAC-wide Military Engineer of the Year and will move on to compete in the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) Federal Engineer of the Year Award program. He is slated to co-represent NAVFAC at the NSPE Federal Engineer of the Year Awards ceremony on Feb. 27 at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. (U.S. Navy photo illustration/Released)
