U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Christian F. Wortman, the commanding general of I Marine Expeditionary Force, departs a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter in Yuma, Ariz., Dec. 31, 2025. Wortman visited Marine forces assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB) to observe their operational integration with U.S. Border Patrol (USBP), and engage with Marines, Sailors and USBP personnel. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
