A U.S. Marine with 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, assigned to Joint Task Force Southern Border (JTF-SB), pilots a Black Hornet 4 Personal Reconnaissance System drone to demonstrate its capabilities in Engineer Springs, Calif., Dec. 30, 2025. The demonstration was part of a tour of San Diego section of the southern border by Lt. Gen. Christian F. Wortman, the I Marine Expeditionary Force commanding general, who engaged with Marines and observed the systems and tools supporting JTF-SB operations. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
