Three Sinclair mini pigs feed inside their pen on Marie Grossnickle’s farm. Grossnickle, a U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases’ animal health technician, adopted the pigs from USAMRIID. Grossnickle said about the pigs’ transition to farm life, “They have adapted well to their new environment; getting the zoomies, running around the pen, and rooting through the straw.”
