The navigator’s station on the flight deck of a historic C-130 Hercules aircraft, nicknamed Man o’ War in honor of the famous thoroughbred racehorse, features a unique logo indicating the aircraft’s status as the 2000th Hercules ever to roll off the assembly line at Lockheed-Martin. The plane, which began its career in 1992 with the Kentucky Air National Guard’s 123rd Airlift Wing, is now being retired for static display at the unit’s base in Louisville — home of the Kentucky Derby.
