Loyd Rhoades, Fort Hood command sergeant major; and Santa Claus cut the ribbon to commission the Army’s first electric locomotive Dec. 15 at the Fort Hood Rail Operations Center. This all new electric locomotive represents a quantum leap forward in transportation technology. The all electric locomotive will remove the equivalent of 54 city buses worth of emissions.
