SAN DIEGO, Ca. (Nov. 6, 2025) — Operations specialists, assigned to various commands, learn and practice combat air control tactics using virtual training software at Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet’s Combat Air Control Detachment on Naval Base San Diego. The mission of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is to man, train, and equip the Surface Force to provide fleet commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore.
