The techniques taught in the course included identifying and using various plants, traps and snares, shelter types and edible local wildlife. The training was part of Exercise Keris Strike, a bilateral military exercise between the U.S. and Malaysian armies that is a key event for strengthening military partnerships and regional security in the Indo-Pacific.
