DUBLIN, Calif, - As part of the Community Salutes event series, Mr. Van Morris, Army Reserve Ambassador Jim Bernet, and local recruiters had an opportunity to share with students the importance of being the best version of themselves.
Lt. Col Richard King, the commander of the local Army Reserve Base Camp Parks, also had the opportunity to share with students about what military life can look like in their future. Many of the students also live on base, so it was also a chance for them to connect with the base commander.
Whether Army or part time Army Reserve service was in their future or not, the best thing they can do as young adults is to pave a way with opportunities, stand up when they’re down, and remembering to ask for help.
