DUBLIN, Calif, - As part of the Community Salutes event series, Mr. Van Morris, Army Reserve Ambassador Jim Bernet, and local recruiters had an opportunity to share with students the importance of being the best version of themselves.
Bernet also had the chance to recognize teacher Gabby Carpenter, with his "Superhero award." Students spend a lot of time with their teachers, and they don't always get the thanks they deserve, so Bernet takes it upon himself to also show appreciation for all that they do.
Whether Army or part time Army Reserve service was in their future or not, the best thing they can do as young adults is to pave a way with opportunities, stand up when they’re down, and remembering to ask for help.
