Members of the District of Columbia National Guard join service members, civic leaders, veteran organizations and members of the public to lay wreaths at Congressional Cemetery on Wreaths Across America Day, in Washington, D.C., Dec. 13, 2025. CH (COL) Vincent A. Cummings, Command Chaplain for the D.C. The National Guard delivered remarks, and Lt. Col. Corwin L. Smith, provided the ceremony’s invocation. The ceremony was one of 5,598 participating locations nationwide, involving over two million volunteers and supporters who gather every year to remember and honor fallen service members and POWs, while also educating the public on the significance of freedom, nation, and sacrifice.
